Forgotten Dreams

Do you dream of writing the next Gone with the Wind, Harry Potter, or simply want to create a cookbook filled with Mama's fantastic recipes? Well it's time you got off the sidelines of life and began playing the game.

The publishing world can be daunting to those just starting out. After all, how can you take time from your busy schedule to write, learn how to compose a query letter and proposal package, along with all the overwhelming other items needed, to see your hidden words proudly displayed in a published work?

You need a Coach! Someone who can help you combine motivation, inspiration and direction into a winning publication.

A Writing Coach can help you focus on what you want to write, and where you want to go, with your writing. I can help you fine tune your work to meet the market needs. There are thousands of ideas out there, and all you need is the "right one" to make it to the New York Times best-seller list!

Below are some resources that can help you along your journey.

Writer's Training Course: Sign up for an 8-week writing course that will be specifically geared to your writing genre. The course includes the elements necesary to take the fruition of your idea, all the way to a touchdown. Game elements include: inception of an idea, the correct format for passing off your work to an editor, a proposal package game plan, snappy chapter titles and a winning query letter. No one can guarantee you will be published, but having the right game plan will put you yards ahead of your competition out there.

Writer's Training Course: $49.95

Editing, Fine Tuning the Game Plan: If you have a finished work, then you might just need to have some editing done on it. I can help you avoid the pitfalls of certain things editors shy away from and specific words that turn them off. Generally, problems usually appear within the first 25-50 pages, so it is not always necessary to contract for an entire work. If it appears there is a clear direction, and your work just needs a little tweaking, then you will not be charged for the entire work.

Manuscript Editing charges are:
1-50 pages $3 per page
51-100 pages $2 per page
100+ pages $1.50 per page

Consultations, Pep Talks, Inspiration and Motivation: You might just need some words of encouragement, direction, or an analysis of your idea/work, to help you push that submit button to a publisher. I can help you take that step of faith! Those words tumbling around in your head or hidden on the hard drive of your computer can't inspire, help, or take a reader to another place, until you muster up the courage to face your fears of rejection. I'm here to tell you your words can make a difference in someone's life!

Consulting Charges are:
$35 per hour

Target Editing: Maybe you just need a little help on the title of your story or book, chapter titles, query letter, point of view, character names, etc. To be your writing coach, I would need an initial 1 hour minimum commitment, which we can set up via phone or email. Futher coaching, if needed, can be set up in blocks of time condusive to your availability, and can range in blocks of 30 minutes to 2 hours, one or more times per week or month.

Submissions are accepted via email or regular mail. Manuscript rates are based on double-spaced, 12 point font work. I will edit your work section by section and submit back to you within the week. There is no need to submit the entire manuscript before getting a response.
